During the Covid Pandemic, I collected and painted up a complete 3rd edition Chaos army. (with 4th edition Dragon Ogres) My gaming group does monthly & yearly paint challenges and so for me, this army was my 2021 challenge. I've since added a couple more models. We even played a full 3rd edition game too - something I haven't done for 30 years!
Here is my 3000pt Bretonnian army for 3rd edition. Back in the day, I used to combine my small force with my friend Rob's Bretonnians to have a complete 3K army. Now, I've assemble a complete 3k army for myself! 😁
Obviously still a work in progress, I'm am so close to having a full 3K Slann 3rd edition army. But these little boogers are pricey!! I'm going to add a bunch of Legacy Troglodytes to act as my lizardman horde since having a lobotomized human unit is way out of my price range.
Collected during Covid lockdown, here is a complete 3rd edition Wood Elves army. Still need to slap paint on a few, but this army is nearly ready for the table top. It'll be great to have them face off against my Chaos army!
Here is my huge 4th edition High Elves army. Not sure of the total points, but more than enough to handle every situation! Like most everything else I have, I just need to get all these painted up!
Many of the 4th Edition models are used in 5th Edition as well. The only real change to my army is the addition of 5th Edition Silver Helm models.
I have a decent size Empire army that spans several editions of the game. One of my friends is a huge Empire player so I never really had the need to have a tons of Empire myself.
Here are all of my Empire forces on display - as you can tell, most are NOT painted yet! 😬
Here are all of my painted Orcs & Goblins at the moment. I have many more units that are yet to be painted as well as several that haven't even been assembled yet. I would like to get enough new models to have a complete 2500pt army for 8th Edition and movement tray adapters to be able to field them in THe Old World games.
6th Edition saw a huge revamp of all existing WHFB armies. Lots of new plastic and metal kits were added to the HE line. The funny thing is that the original Eltharion the Grim model which debuted in 4th Edition is still the same model in use today!!!
Ahh...Dragons!! I loved these new dragon kits!
I pretty much have run a "Double Dragon" list ever since!
I got into Ogres late in 7th Edition but quickly loved how they played as an army. Brutal, aggressive and quick! I continue to play them to this day!
(Side Note: There were no big critters in 7th edition Ogres...so this picture is a bit inaccurate!)
I have a huge 8th Edition HE army. Here is what my 2500 pt list is currently - My list has changed a bit since I now use many of the 8th Edition models in my Old World army.
Here is my painted-up Ogre army as it now stands. I love how they didn't even change much for The Old World. I have many more unpainted models which I will eventually get painted up!
Here is what I plan to play in The Old World!
I still need to get a couple of movement tray adapters for my cavalry models, a 50mm base for my bolt thrower and bigger base adapters for my dragons.
I know this says "8th Edition" but here is a pic of ALL of my High Elves from all editions together.
